Business Valuation Report

Know what your business is worth, from documents, not guesses.

The RockHaven Business Valuation Report gives you a market value range for your business, built from your tax returns and real recorded sales, checked by a principal, and delivered in 3 business days from your complete documents. It is for any owner, in any industry, licensed or not, who is thinking about selling, planning retirement, or deciding what to do next.

Not an appraisal. Built for an owner's own planning. What an appraisal is for, and what this is for, is spelled out at the bottom of this page.

What lands in your hands

One report, written to be read by an owner, not by an accountant.

The number

A market value range

With the single indicated value our method supports inside it, and the factors that place it there, named in plain terms.

The earnings

Verified, line by line

Your earnings rebuilt from your tax returns. Every add-back is its own line with its support stated. Claims the documents cannot support are named as gaps, never smoothed over.

The evidence

Comparable sales, with sources

Recorded sales of businesses like yours, each one sourced, with the basis of the table stated on its face.

The drivers

What moves your value

What is working for the value and what is working against it, tied to your business as it actually runs.

The what-ifs

A sensitivity view

What the value does if earnings move, or if your strongest factor weakens. Every line labeled a scenario, not a forecast.

The method

Shown, with its evidence grade

How the value was built, the standard and version behind it, and the grade of the market evidence under your industry's range, with the counts.

How it works

Five steps. No sales call to sit through first, no documents move before payment, and the delivery clock runs from your complete documents, never from the day you pay.

Step 1

You pay the flat fee

In full, up front: $995 for the report, $1,495 with the readiness module. The fee buys the report alone and is never credited toward any transaction.

Step 2

You send your documents

A checklist reaches you by email within one business day: tax returns, current financials, and the support behind each add-back you claim.

Step 3

We verify the build

Earnings are rebuilt from the returns. Anything the documents cannot support is written into the report as a documentation gap, in plain words.

Step 4

A principal reviews it

Before anything leaves, a principal of RockHaven checks the flags and the range against the comparable sales and signs the review line.

Step 5

Your report arrives

Within 3 business days of your complete documents arriving. Report + Readiness buyers also book a 20 minute walkthrough call with a principal.

Market figures: published valuation cost guides and provider pricing pages, including the BizWorth 2026 cost guide, checked November 2026. Where practice varies by firm, the cell says so rather than guessing.

Tested against 94 real sales

Before selling a single report, we ran the method against 94 recorded business sales, with nothing picked after the fact. At the median, the value the method indicated landed within about 5 percent of what the business actually sold for. On sales from 2021 on, the median gap was about 2 percent.

The honest limit, in the same breath: those sales were tested on the earnings stated in their sale records, because no outside test can re-verify a stranger's books. What the test proves is the method. Your report runs the same method on the stronger input: your own documents, verified line by line.

The offers

Flat fees. No percentages, no hourly billing, and no fee tied to any sale, ever.

Valuation Tracker

$249 per year

An annual re-run on fresh documents: an updated range, a value bridge showing what moved since the last report, and a refreshed comparable set. Offered when your report is delivered. There is no public checkout; it starts with a report.

Selling your business to RockHaven is a separate thing, on the acquisition side of the firm, and it costs a seller nothing. These reports are a paid service for owners who want the number first, whatever they decide later.

Questions before you buy?

Book a free 15 minute call and ask them. It is optional, never a step in buying, and plenty of buyers skip it. The report is the same either way.

Read a real one

This sample was built from a real engagement run, with the business's name, owner, and location removed. A commercial cleaning business: verified earnings of $354,000, a market value range of $885,000 to $1,345,200, and a documentation gap shown exactly the way yours would be.

The fine print, in plain sight

Not an appraisal. This report is a valuation report prepared for the owner's own planning. No licensed or certified appraiser prepares or signs it.

Not for lending, tax, ESOP, or court use. If that is your purpose, you need a credentialed appraiser. Say the purpose before you pay: if it is one of those uses, we will not sell you this report.

Business value only. The report values the business. It never values any real estate the business owns or occupies, and no figure in it is a real estate figure.

The fee buys the report alone. It is flat, paid in full before documents move, and never credited or applied toward any transaction of any kind.

One disclosure, in the open. RockHaven also buys businesses, and every report is built on the same valuation standard we buy on, applied the same way. If you later want to talk about selling to us, that is the separate acquisition side of the firm, and selling to us costs you nothing.

If the evidence cannot carry a number, the report says so. Where documents cannot support a verified build, or too few comparable sales can be documented, the report states what could not be verified and what would close the gap, instead of printing a range the evidence does not support.
